God of War Ragnarök: New gameplay video shows battles and skills
A short new gameplay video of God of War Ragnarök was released in the evening.
It’s the first new video that showcases the sequel’s improved combat features in more detail.
Kratos’ new abilities
In the video that Game Informer released, you’ll see several new ways Kratos can use his Leviathan Ax and the Blades of Chaos.
The philosophy behind this, according to Lead Combat Designer Mihir Sheth, is that “Kratos is playing with his food”.

The Weapon Signature Moves are new here. Kratos can empower his weapons with Ice and Fire elemental attacks that can freeze or set enemies on fire.
Several new shields can also be used. If you parry at the right moment, you can use the Dauntless shield to counterattack and stun enemies.
God of War Ragnarök will be released on November 9, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
