Xbox Game Studios: Matt Booty: In the distant future AI bots will help us with bug fixes
Matt Booty from Microsoft believes that in the distant future so-called AI bots will help with bug fixes.
At PAX West, Matt Booty, Head of Xbox Studios at Microsoft, delivered the Storytime Keynote. He also looked a bit into the future, talked about his dreams and communicated a vision. So he has said that he thinks that in the future an AI or bots controlled by an AI could take over the bug fixes in video games.
So you diligently program a game, eventually you get tired and you start these AI bots overnight, which play the section over and over again in the cloud. A list is then spit out for breakfast, which is peppered with bugs that the AI bots noticed during the test phase.
