Intel resolves multiple issues with Arc Control with driver update

Arc Alchemist: Intel's graphics cards also support Vulkan 1.3

from Maximilian Hohm
With a new graphics driver, Intel is trying to solve some of the previous problems with Arc Control, the telemetry data and the stability of the driver. This should be much better usable and not be a source of problems and annoyance as before. Read more about this below.

Intel’s previous graphics drivers for the Arc Alchemist graphics cards were suboptimal. In addition to missing optimizations for older titles, the software was often hardly usable, could not be completely uninstalled after errors and did not provide a positive user experience all round. This should now change with driver version 30.0.101.3277. This doesn’t really have an update function for games, but it should significantly enhance the software bundle. Arc Control is also linked to the driver, eliminating the need for separate downloads and installations.

Compared to driver version 3276, there are no new features regarding game support, but numerous problems with Arc Control have been fixed. Now it should be possible in the software to make keyboard entries that are also recognized, which was not always the case before. In addition, the sporadic hangs of Arc Control when opening certain game configurations should be a thing of the past. In addition, game profiles should now display the actual title image instead of a placeholder that was previously used in certain titles.

Intel’s Arc Control Performance Tuning is still in beta, so bugs are still normal. However, the new driver should solve some problems. It should now be possible to select the maximum voltage using the voltage regulator without any unintended decimal values being displayed. The telemetry data should now correctly display the effective Vram clock GHz, while the performance graphs in the in-game overlay now scale correctly and adapt to the UI.

The button for restoring the default values should now also ensure that the default values are actually restored with a restart. While the driver update may be irrelevant to pure gamers who have never opened it, anyone interested in the settings should check out the new driver at Intel Download to get a more stable and better experience.
