Streamer thanks her fans, who escalate immediately

what happened there? On Aug. 31, Fuslie announced a longer stream via Twitter as she was feeling nostalgic. In this stream, she showed off some of the throwback games she grew up with as a streamer: CS:GO, Among US, and GTA RP.

Towards the end of the stream, Fuslie got visibly emotional. She tearfully thanked her fans, the “Leslers”, for allowing her life as a streamer. The Leslers made her very happy and she feels so much gratitude that she cannot express.

At midnight, Fuslie abruptly ended the stream, saying: “Nothing happens at midnight but I have to go. I have to go or something might happen. I have to go, I have to do this thing. Hope to see you in the next stream.”

What rumors arose after the stream? Clips of Fuslie’s emotional speech quickly circulated across YouTube and Reddit. A lot of the titles pointed out that it was her last stream on Twitch.

Because Fuslie’s contract with Twitch ended in August. As a result, many fans anticipated a move to YouTube Gaming’s competition and immediately began spending their accumulated Channel Points on Twitch.

Channel Points is a Twitch points program. Viewers can earn points by watching streams. These points are tied to the respective channel and can be exchanged for rewards such as emotes.

With the move, Fuslie would be part of a growing lineup of former Twitch streamers who are being snapped up by YouTube for big bucks.

This further fueled the rumours: During lockdown, Fuslie was part of a group that had success with “Among Us” streams, among other things. This included well-known streamers like Valkyrae, Sykkuno and Lily Pichu. These have now switched to YouTube.

For months, some fans have suspected a change, which is said to have been “leaked” several times by Fuslie’s friends. Through the emotional address, they finally saw themselves as confirmed.

Was it all just a joke? Fans feel cheated

This is how it went on after the emotional stream: The very next day, Fuslie reported back on Twitch. The stream was titled “You Got Jebaited,” meaning “You’ve been tricked.” Fuslie also wears a hoodie that says “twitch.”

Jebaited is a Twitch emote coined by CEOGaming founder and CEO Alex Jebailey. The word is a combination of its name and the English word “bait”. It is used when someone has been tricked or tricked.

At the beginning of the stream, Fuslie told her fans they were “so dramatic” and criticized the many “clickbait headlines” on YouTube and various websites. After all, she had already announced the next stream the day before.

Fooled? So Fuslie got back to you.

Some fans now felt like they had been tricked – especially those who had hastily spent their saved Channel Points. Many also stated that they cried during the supposedly last stream.

But the rumors never end: fans already suspect a “double Jebait”. After all, Fuslie has not yet confirmed that she has renewed her Twitch contract. The switch to YouTube could still be in the room.

There are also rumors about another streaming great: Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was the biggest streamer on Twitch for a long time. He recently ended a stream and said he just couldn’t take it anymore.

Fans are puzzling over whether a move to YouTube Gaming should also be prepared here, or whether Ninja wants to give up his unprecedented streaming career for good.
