Super Mario RTX looks amazing in Unreal Engine 5, GamersRD

Seeing Super Mario in glorious graphics is impossible, as Nintendo to date has not created a powerful console that runs a game even at 2K. However, last month user Funkyzeit Games shared a video showing what a modern 3D Mario game might have looked like powered by Unreal Engine 5 via DSOG.

Using Unreal Engine 5’s new rendering techniques, Funkyzeit Games has basically recreated the first Super Mario Bros. map. However, unlike other remakes, this one allows Mario to explore the environment. Not only that, but there are some great physics/destruction sequences.

The end result doesn’t come close to the cartoonish graphics of the Mario games. While this fan project manages to retain its art style, it looks more like an early 90s CG Mario game. You can check out the video below:
