The CEO of CD Projekt RED made a statement during an investor conference at the end of the first half of the year Adam Kicinski just about the plans for the latest part of the The Witcher-role playing. The sequel will no longer have Geralt of Rivia as the protagonist, whose journey was brought to an end in the previous three games.
CD Projekt RED had already announced the new role-playing game based on the Unreal 5 engine as the beginning of a “new saga” and Kicinski now confirmed:
“We have more than one game in mind. The first saga consisted of three games, so we’re thinking of more than one game now, but we’re still in pre-production on the first game of the second Witcher saga.”
Regarding the postponed version of The Witcher 3 – Wild Hunt For PS5 and Xbox Series S|X, Kicinski also reported that everything is going according to plan to keep the new release window in Q4 2022.
