Maintenance on 09/15 – All times and server down

As part of the update, Bungie will be making some fixes and banning buggy content from the game. However, the players also have to put up with a short downtime and longer background maintenance. These will not be completed until Saturday September 17th.

These times are important today:

  • At 6:00 p.m. German time, maintenance work will start in the background on all platforms.
  • From 6:45 p.m. the servers will go offline and you will be automatically kicked out of all activities.
  • The servers are scheduled to come back online around 7:00 p.m. and update 6.2.0.4 will be rolled out for all platforms. You can then log back in to play. However, keep in mind there might still be queues or login issues.
  • Also good to know: The background maintenance will continue after the server down. According to Bungie until Saturday, September 17th at 9:00 p.m.

Important is: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in the game, you may experience connection issues until the end of the maintenance around 8:00 p.m. You may also have to expect queues when logging in. Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be accessible correctly.

This changes with Update 6.2.0.4 in Season 18

That brings the update today: Bungie has not yet released any information about the latest bug fixes. However, there are still a few things that Bungie may want to address.

  • Players with crossplay disabled will not be able to participate in Trials of Osiris.
  • Bungie is also investigating reports of issues related to slow performance on PCs. For example, there may be issues when players are using Destiny with an integrated graphics card. Especially if the integrated graphics card does not meet the minimum required PC specifications.
  • If an old seal and title have been acquired for a character that is being deleted, the seal may not be re-equipable.
  • Player name changes are still not customizable through bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to change their player name multiple times instead of just once.

If you find problems in the game yourself, then the recommendation is to go directly to the official Bungie Help forum to report it to the developers as well.
