WoW WotLK Classic: New free character transfers possible for EU
Blizzard developers continue to struggle to control the player rush to the WoW: Wrath of the Lich King servers. They have now announced new free character transfers for the EU region.
As is well known, the pre-patch of WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic brought countless (new) players to Azeroth (back), which caused it Excessively long queues are experienced on many of the heavily populated realms, but also the first reboot servers that went live are bursting at the seams. On September 14, 2022 there was therefore two more restart servers, one each for EU and US. in the official forum the developers have since announced further measures.
Free transfers – this is new
Here are just the measures taken by Blizzard that affect us European players:
- In response to overwhelming player demand, a free character transfer offer from Thekal to Jin’do is now available.
- Free character transfers from Mograine to Transcendence, Patchwerk, Amnennar or Flamegor are no longer possible.
- Alliance characters have been able to be transferred to Mograine for free since September 15, 2022.
- Since September 15, 2022, Horde characters can be transferred to Ashbringer for free.
So the current list of possible character transfer options is as follows:
- Firemaw after Ashbringer (Horde only) – PvP
- Firemaw to Hydraxian Waterlords – RP
- Firemaw to Mograine (Alliance only) – PvP
- Gehennas to Ashbringer (Horde only) – PvP
- Gehennas to Hydraxian Waterlords – RP
- Gehennas to Mograine (Alliance only) – PvP
- Golemagg to Ashbringer (Horde only) – PvP
- Golemagg to Hydraxian Waterlords – RP
- Golemagg to Mograine (Alliance only) – PvP
- Hydraxian WaterlordsL to akeshire—Normal
- Thekal to Jin’do Fresh – PvP
