CoD Modern Warfare 2: This is how the beta continues

Since September 16, 2022, pre-orders for the Playstation version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can let off steam in the open beta of the new shooter. The test phase is now also open to Playstation players who have not pre-ordered the title, but fans of other platforms will have to be patient. The developers at Infinity Ward have therefore once again published a concrete schedule for the Modern Warfare 2 beta and clarified what bonuses the pre-orderers will receive.

Vault Edition content already available in beta

The current schedule for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is as follows:

• September 16-17: Early Access for Playstation players
• September 18-20: Open Beta for all Playstation players
• September 22-23: Early Access for Xbox and PC players (Battlenet, Steam)
• September 24-26: Open Beta for players on all platforms

Those who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in the Vault Edition can already try out some of the special digital bonus content of this version in the beta. As the developers have officially announced, this includes the first weapon safe FJX Cinder, the “Red Team 141” operator pack including the operators Ghost, Farah, Price and Soap as well as the opportunity to earn ten different in-game rewards.

Meanwhile, fans are already busy testing the Playstation version of Modern Warfare 2 and letting off steam with the new third-person feature. The streamer North Ros3 on Twitter shows how well headshots work from this perspective:

The community is quite impressed in this regard, but sometimes considers the sniper rifle to be overpowering. How the developers see this remains to be seen. Maybe one or the other detail in weapon handling will change until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 appears on October 28, 2022.
