Brazilian Twitch streamer Casimito has been one of the most successful content creators on the live streaming site for some time. However, an exclusive Amazon deal has now lifted him into unimagined spheres. In one day he got over 70,000 new Twitch subscriptions.

Not so long ago we reported on the rocketing rise of Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, which could possibly replace xQc as the Twitch streamer with the most subscribers this year. Kai Cenat is currently almost 5,000 subscriptions away from catching up with xQC. The Twitch subscription crown has now surprisingly grabbed someone else.

The Brazilian Twitch streamer Casimito has been in the top 10 streamers in terms of subscribers for a while. With around 68,000 twitch subs, he wasn’t far behind Kai Cenat and xQc. That has now changed thanks to an exclusive Amazon deal. From one day to the next, Casimito collected over 70,000 new Twitch subscribers and now has by far the most subscribers on Twitch.

How did Casimito get 70,000+ Twitch Subs?

Casimito owes this incredible number of new subscribers to a special exception of the website operated by Amazon. Amazon allowed the streamer to broadcast a football match live on Twitch. It wasn’t just any match, it was the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil 2022, which pitted some of the country’s biggest and most storied clubs, Corinthians and Fluminense. The broadcast was live for three hours and was watched by 198,000 viewers.

103,000 spectators simultaneously watched the game that earned Corinthians a ticket to the 2022 Copa do Brasil final. The broadcast was watched by an average of 79,000 viewers. Most of them use their Twitch Prime sub to subscribe to Casimito’s channel. As long as no other Twitch streamer gets a similar offer from Amazon, it’s likely to retain the Twitch sub crown for years to come.
