FoV Slider for PS5 is coming – a long-awaited feature for consoles

Modern Warfare 2 will finally get an FoV slider. The feature was spotted for the PS5 and now the fans’ wish is finally being granted.

Santa Monica, California – The Call of Duty series is getting a big addition this year. In addition to Warzone 2, Modern Warfare 2 should finally appear. Players of the popular Activision title have been wanting an FoV slider for the console for a long time. In the beta of the new Modern Warfare part, this wish seems to be fulfilled. In the MW2 files of the PS5, players have made a discovery.

MW2: FoV slider for the PS5 – Feuture appeared in the beta

FoV sliders detected in the beta files: Early access for the Modern Warfare 2 beta doesn’t actually start until September 16, 2022. However, PS5 users were able to preload the MW2 beta from September 14, 2022. So some fans managed to take a look at the beta files. This is how FoV slider settings were discovered in the beta files. It can therefore be assumed that there will be a FoV slider for the PS5 in the beta.

Is the FoV slider coming to other consoles? Although the FoV slider setting was found in the PS5 Modern Warfare 2 Beta files, it is likely that this setting will also be available on the Xbox Series X. Even for the PlayStation 4, FoV slider settings were discovered in the beta files. However, it remains to be seen whether these settings will also be available for consoles other than the PS5 and PS4.

What is a FoV slider? The term FoV stands for Field of View, i.e. the field of view that you have. With a FoV slider you can adjust the width of this field of view individually. So you can see more or less of the surroundings.

MW2 FoV slider for consoles – is the feature also coming to Warzone 2?

FoV sliders for consoles also in Warzone 2? Now that it’s clear that Modern Warfare 2 will have an FoV slider for certain consoles, some fans are wondering if it’s exclusive to MW2. Many wish that the feature would also find its way to the consoles in the upcoming Warzone 2. According to a CoD professional, Warzone 2 is getting a FoV slider for the consoles. However, Activision has not yet commented on the FoV slider.

Although it has been said in the past that there will be no Warzone FOV slider for the PS4, PS5 and Xbox, that could change soon. The fact that the feature is already available for the PlayStation makes many confident that this will also be the case for Warzone 2.
