Dual Universe: You can now try the SciFi MMO for free via Steam
With a press release, those responsible at Novaquark recently announced the free trial version of Dual Universe. The “Steam Trial” is already available. The official launch of the SciFi MMO is scheduled for September 27, 2022.
Last month we reported that Dual Universe finally has a release date. On September 27, 2022, the SciFi MMO will be released with the sandbox universe in which you “build almost everything from voxels, trade in a free economy, run industries, travel through space, explore planets or wage wars” can.
The Novaquark developers recently followed up with another press release: Interested parties can already Dual Universe free trial version on Steam download and install. The free Steam test version should run separately from the persistent main server of Dual Universe.
Test universe for newcomers
In order to introduce newcomers to the numerous possibilities of the sandbox adventure, the gameplay should be accelerated in the free test phase. This means the markets are stocked with useful items at heavily discounted prices. While you still need to earn your own money, right from the start you can access the necessary resources to explore unknown planets, start new businesses, create priceless works of art or experiment with the most advanced voxel-based tools on the market.
The free trial server is said to reset regularly, which means all accounts reset at regular intervals as well. You will receive a notification when you log in at least one week before the next server reset. The frequency of these resets has not yet been definitively determined.
The full version of Dual Universe
Once the MMO launches on September 27th, you can expect a persistent universe that will only run on a single server. Thanks to sandbox design, it’s up to you to build an economy, found organizations and colonize space. The launch will take place on Steam, via the official website of the developer and GeForce NOW.
