Google has launched the Chromecast with Google TV HD. The streaming stick, which costs around 40 euros, is intended to compete with the Fire TV Stick from Amazon.

Compared to the already available Chromecast with Google TV (4K), which costs 70 euros, the HD version does not have a 4K resolution. However, the video codecs AV1, VP9, ​​H.264 and H.265 are supported by the new Chromecast with Google TV HD. Content can be displayed with HDR10 and HDR10 Plus for better color reproduction.
