A few days after the announcement of the new Geforce RTX 40 series GPUs by Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang, the first offers for the flagship RTX 4090 are already available from the Spanish dealer “Coolmod”. Custom graphics cards are currently being offered there, one of which is even below the RRP of 1,949 euros.

Nvidia’s presentation of the new Ada Lovelace generation caused a rollercoaster ride of emotions. At first there was great euphoria that new and more powerful graphics cards that would follow Ampere were coming onto the market. In addition, price drivers such as the crypto mining boom and the corona pandemic seem to be on the wane, which should actually be a good omen for the prices and availability of graphics cards.

However, the list prices of the three new models speak a different language. The Geforce RTX 4090 comes with an RRP of 1,949 euros and is therefore significantly more expensive than its predecessor, the RTX 3090 (about 450 euros less). Many fans, not only from the PCGH community, are therefore more than disappointed, some even want to give up their fanboy existence with immediate effect.

Geforce RTX 4090 available in Spain under RRP – but sold out

In the meantime, Nvidia’s board partners have presented their models of the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080 with 16 and 12 GiB memory shortly after Jensen Huang’s keynote and the first listings have already made it into the range of a Spanish PC component dealer called “Coolmod”. There you can find offers for custom models from the Galax/KFA2 and Zotac brands. All variants of the latter are sold, including AMP Extreme Airo, Trinity and Trinity OC.

The Geforce RTX 4090 AMP Extreme Airo is meanwhile offered the most expensive at Coolmod. The price tag here is a good 2,050, which is 100 euros above the RRP. The two Trinity variants are cheaper. Here, the Spanish retailer is asking 1,960 euros for the standard model and 2,000 euros for the OC model.

Further offers can also be found on the website for two custom models from Galax/KFA2. SG and ST variants with one-click OC feature are offered here. Fortunately, the ST graphics card is available here at an RRP of 1,949. For a good 1,900 euros, i.e. 50 euros less, customers can currently afford a Geforce RTX 4090. The Serious Gaming version, on the other hand, (meanwhile) costs around 2,100 euros, making it the most expensive of the graphics cards on offer.

As for the Spanish retailer Coolmod, Videocardz notes that it is one of the largest in the country selling PC components and has all of the official KFA2 marketing materials, which should confirm the authenticity of the offerings. Regarding the availability of the graphics cards at Coolmod, however, one has to state that they are all sold out at the moment.
