Xbox Series X Dashboard: Console startup sounds will soon be muted

Those who secretly want to play games on their Xbox at half past three at night will soon be able to switch off the start sounds.

Your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One will be noticeable when booting up with start-up sounds. If you don’t want to hear them, you can switch them off in the future.

Xbox Insiders are currently testing this new option in the Alpha Ring. The latest version of the dashboard preview allows you to toggle it on and off in Settings -> General -> Volume & Audio Output under Additional Options.

It is not known when the option will be available to all console owners.
