17-year-old responsible for hacking Rockstar Games arrested

A 17-year-old boy was arrested yesterday in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, according to an investigation related to hacking and theft of information from the company Rockstar Games along with leaking everything about GTA VI.

According to the police, the teenager is still in custody, although no details have been officially released. However, Reuters reporter Matthew Keys says sources claim that “It is related to the hacking of Rockstar Games and possibly Uber.”

The arrested hacker is allegedly linked to a group called Lapsus$ that “It is organized mainly through Telegram channels”a messaging application for mobile devices.

This lines up with earlier claims from the pompompurin admin of Breached (a hacking forum), who claimed the hacker was a 16-year-old going by the name White (as shared by @LegacyKillaHD).

‘White’, the alleged hacker, was previously arrested in December 2021 for allegedly hacking into Microsoft, Nvidia and Samsung after being misled by his former associates. As for the new cheats, they were shared by teapottuberhacker, who is supposedly the same person as White, on GTAForums. They also claimed to have hacked into Uber, something Keys’ sources also mentioned.

It only remains to wait for new information and a special statement from the UK police.
