A Plague Tale: Requiem: Playing time is around 15 to 18 hours

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

According to Lead Level Designer Kevin Pinson, A Plague Tale: Requiem will last around 15-18 hours.

A Plague Tale: Requiem aims to surpass its predecessor in all areas. This also includes the playing time of the stealth adventure, as lead level designer Kevin Pinson did in an interview with the PLAY magazine reveals.

At 15-18 hours, this is almost twice as long as A Plague Tale: Innocence. During development, however, the focus was not primarily on the game’s runtime, but rather on the speed, says Pinson:

“It’s about the pace, there’s no fillers, there’s no attempt to make it longer because we had to. Our publisher, Focus Entertainment, encourages us to take the length we need for the game to tell the story we want. So we don’t aim for a specific number of hours. That’s something we don’t take into account when designing the game. We’re a small team of 70 people, so we have to be really drastic with our decisions.”

A Plague Tale: Requiem will be released on October 18, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC and will be included in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
