CoD Modern Warfare 2 Beta: Changes in week 2 – New maps and new mode

New maps in the Modern Warfare 2 Beta: Developer Infinity Ward has thought of a few things for the start of the second week of the Modern Warfare 2 Beta. Players can look forward to two new maps and a new mode. The new maps are called Sariff Bay and Sa’id. They are among the larger maps in Modern Warfare 2 and are designed for modes such as ground warfare.

New game mode in beta: The new game mode complements the map expansion. In the second week of the Modern Warfare 2 Beta you can play the new Invasion mode. Up to 40 players compete against each other in two teams. In addition, 40 bots are running around the map. By the way, the hated Vanguard feature is still included in Modern Warfare 2.

CoD Modern Warfare 2 Beta: Changes in week 2 – Balancing weapons and perks

Changes to Perks: The perks and weapons have been tweaked a bit to make the balancing more balanced. You get the perks in a match a little faster than in the first week of the “Modern Warfare 2” beta. However, this change will not take effect until all platforms have access to the beta.

Weapons have been nerfed: As for the weapons, the Nerf hammer was unpacked once. The FTAC-Recon, FSS Hurricane, Lachmann-556, M4, M16, Kastov-74u, and Lachmann Sub (MP5) have all been weakened. Those who play for the first time in week two will hardly notice this, but returners should expect to deal slightly less damage.

General changes: The other changes include some bug fixes for the UI (User Interface). There are also some audio adjustments. Footsteps are now less clearly heard. You can now better distinguish opposing steps from those of your own team. Further changes to the menus are also planned for the final launch. What else will change remains unclear. Infinity Ward seems to be ignoring fan feedback on Modern Warfare 2. If you want to stay up-to-date on what’s happening in the game, check out our Modern Warfare 2 themed page.
