Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II: Lobbies and perk system will be overhauled

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

Infinity Ward has announced adjustments to lobbies and the perk system for the full version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

The recently ended beta for the upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II made a positive impression overall, but also offered potential for criticism.

The development team took some aspects of the feedback to heart during the ongoing beta and released a 500 MB patch with adjustments. One criticism that hasn’t been ironed out yet is the lobby system.

Many players criticize the fact that existing lobbies disappear after each round played. As Infinity Ward announces, they are aware of the problem and are already working on a solution to increase the chance that lobbies stay together.

In addition, the new perk system will be revised. The focus is on the time to earn the perks and the perk flow in general.

Other adjustments affect the user interface when editing perk packs, loadouts and using the armory. All improvements should be included for the release of the full version at the end of October.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be released on October 28, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. The stand-alone battle royale offshoot Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will be released on November 16, 2022.
