CoD Modern Warfare 2 leak: Raid mode is said to be similar to Destiny strikes, only more tactical

There will be raids in CoD Modern Warfare 2, that’s for sure. Now we might know a little more about it.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 not only offers a single player story and a multiplayer mode. Raids have also been announced for the title, but we don’t know too much about the new mode yet. According to a leak, the gameplay could be strongly based on Destiny and its raids or strikes.

How does the mode work? It was officially announced: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 also relies on three-player raids. With them we have to think strategically together and with teamwork, solve gameplay puzzles and of course fight.

Insider leak may reveal even more: According to some sources from the usually very well informed Tom Henderson, the raids should take place on their own maps. So not in places that we already know from elsewhere. Also, I think we need to work really hard together and feel like “like Destiny but more tactically”.

The first raid supposedly contains two puzzles. One of them is supposed to revolve around an underwater labyrinth and the other apparently has numbers in it. Just like the AI ​​we’ll be dealing with, although here the details remain unclear.

Exciting example: Another source from Tom Henderson’s new site insider gaming reports that we are facing a CoD MW2 raid in which we have to infiltrate a submarine base. This should only be possible if we share our oxygen and breathing mask with our teammates.

Data mining findings seem to confirm this. At least data has apparently already been discovered in the beta that revolve around three missions. They are apparently called “Numbers Puzzle”, “Water Maze” and “Incursion”. That sounds a lot like the first raid would stretch across these three parts – and then like the last one would really bang.

Like Destiny? We’re curious to see how much the raid mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 really resembles Destiny 2 in the end. So far, the information allegedly leaked here tends to sound more like the strikes in Destiny and not the raids there.
