Anstoss 2022 is coming to Early Access with a new name

Red-White Munich and Black-Yellow Dortmund make the hearts of die-hard Kick-off fans beat faster. Years ago, the game series Anstoss from Germany achieved cult status, even though – or perhaps precisely for this reason – the manager game did not offer any licenses for football teams. In 2021 it became known that publisher Kalypso Media was withdrawing from the project and developer 2tainment would continue alone. The time will soon come and the new edition will roll onto the soccer field. Kick-off 2022 will then simply become Kick-Off – The Football Manager. What does the new part of the Anstoss series offer?

The Anstoss series has effectively been dead since 2006. Ascaron Entertainment GmbH had to file for bankruptcy after Anstoss 3 from 2000 was the most successful title and later versions such as Anstoss 2007 were no longer able to build on the sales success. In the meantime, Kalypso has taken over the rights to Anstoss and is letting 2tainment work on the new part. A new feature is the heat map, which shows important parameters for the team’s performance at a glance. Each player has their own skills and character that affect development. Manager skills are provided with a talent tree. At the start of the Early Access version there will be a roadmap with the planned features in version 1.0. For example, there should be an online mode.

Beginning October 13, Anstoss offers Early Access on Steam. According to the developers, the content of the single player mode is complete, except for the option of being the national coach. In the course of development, among other things, an online mode and new graphics should be added. In addition, the developers want to collect feedback from the community and thus improve the kick-off. Kickoff is sold on Steam for €34.99. According to 2tainment, the price should remain the same even after the early access phase.
