FIFA 23: Football game available worldwide

EA SPORTS FIFA 23 has been released worldwide and is celebrated with the following launch trailer.

Electronic Arts is celebrating the release of EA SPORTS FIFA 23 today! Thanks to the advancements in HyperMotion2 gameplay technology, the game delivers immersive, realistic and authentic football.

For the first time, women’s club football is also included in the game. This is also reflected in the Ultimate Edition global cover, which features acclaimed Chelsea striker Sam Kerr alongside PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé. Kerr makes history as the first woman ever to appear on a global cover of the game series.

FIFA 23 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (EA app, Origin and Steam), Stadia, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and features new features such as the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup, cross-play, Innovations in popular modes like FIFA Ultimate Team and VOLTA FOOTBALL and much more.

HyperMotion2 technology

Advancements in the groundbreaking HyperMotion2 gameplay technology bring FIFA 23 the most authentic football animations ever seen in an EA SPORTS FIFA title. HyperMotion 2 combines advanced 11-VS-11 match capture with proprietary machine learning, enabling twice the amount of capture data. In FIFA 23, this ensures more than 6,000 authentic animations and new features such as Full Team Authentic Motion, the new technical dribbling system, the start-up mechanics and more.

FIFA World Cup

FIFA 23 will not only feature the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2022, but also the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023, allowing FIFA fans to experience the absolute highlights of international men’s and women’s football.

Women’s Club Soccer

For the first time in EA SPORTS FIFA history, fans will be able to compete with women’s club teams. The Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema will be included at launch, with more leagues to follow.

The animations of women’s soccer in FIFA 23 are based on custom HyperMotion2 capture with a female professional team, so that the players are more realistic in terms of looks and movements than ever before.

Innovations in all game modes

FIFA 23 presents new updates in all game modes: Cross-play for players on the same platform generation makes it possible to team up as friends in 1-VS-1 modes. This includes, for example, online friendlies and FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) via FUT games against friends. FUT 23 also features a completely new, scenario-based mode called “FUT Moments”, which offers new ways of playing. The completely revamped FUT Chemistry gives fans even more flexibility in building their Ultimate Team.

In career mode, improvements mean that fans can further define their personality and matchday experience. New off-the-field activities help guide player careers. In Coach Career mode, fans can take control of more than 350 authentic football coaches and lead their team to success with them. The new “Playable Highlights” mode in the player and coach career allows you to jump into the game with your own pro and complete tasks. Pro Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL share a new entry point that will allow for even more customization, engagement, and development of your Pro across both modes. There is also an opportunity to earn Pro Clubs XP in both modes. Fans can team up with Freund or the VOLTA FOOTBALL community, show off their style in the new and upgraded VOLTA Arcades, and take advantage of other ways to make their avatar their very own. Optimized spectator audio, new objects, larger stadiums, dynamically colored balls, an underfoot timer and new sound effects ensure even better entertainment in the new and upgraded VOLTA ARCADE games. The revised VOLTA gameplay provides street soccer with even more flair and even more variety from game to game through various improvements.

With more than 300 partners, 19,000 professionals, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 30 leagues from around the world, EA SPORTS FIFA 23 is the only place where fans can watch a match in the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup, in the legendary UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Premier League, LaLiga Santander, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A.

For 30 years, EA SPORTS FIFA has been at the intersection of entertainment and gaming and has directly influenced the growth and evolution of football culture. EA SPORTS recently partnered with Marvel, one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world, to bring iconic soccer heroes to the pitch in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. The AFC Richmond and Ted Lasso, the world’s favorite coach mustache, are also playable in FIFA 23. The Greyhounds feature alongside Wrexham AFC in the Rest of the World division of FIFA 23 Clubs.
