With your residents, in the message in a bottle or in balloons, there are currently special handicraft instructions for Halloween furniture. Here are all at a glance:

Visit Nook’s store daily: If you don’t really want the instructions, you can simply go to Nook’s shop and buy the items there. A random piece of furniture from the Halloween series is available for purchase every day. When you buy it, you only get the item once and not the instructions to make it yourself.

Stock up on your candy

From October 1st you can collect candies. With these you get many of the special items on Halloween. If you collect these now, you won’t have to grind as much on Halloween. It is recommended that you by the end of the month about 25 candies in inventory to receive all event rewards.

Nook’s Store: You can buy a candy from Nepp and Drag for 120 Sternis each. Due to the high demand in October, they only sell one candy a day. In addition to time travel, you can also work around this in other ways. Just travel to an island of your friends, because there you can also buy one candy per island.

Received from Residents: Your animal island friends tinker with a DIY guide several times a day in their houses. In October they like to work on pumpkin items. This is how the Halloween event works on October 31st

Halloween is on your island on October 31st. So that you don’t miss it, Melinda will point this out again with an island announcement.

When does it start? Halloween doesn’t start until the evening, so the activities run from 5pm to midnight. As soon as it’s November 1st, the event ends and you have to wait another year to get candies, lollipops, DIY recipes and the other stuff . You can collect a lot during the event.

Talk to Jacob: To start the event, you will find the Halloween prince Jakob from 5 p.m. All night long, your disguised residents will run up to you and yell trick or treat. They want sweets or lollipops from you, you can already have the former ready if you have collected enough in advance.

Jakob will be in front of the service center from 5 p.m.

Get candies and lollipops

Get Candy on Halloween: On October 31st from 5 p.m. you can collect even more candies than usual:

• If you don’t have any candy in your inventory, a resident who wants “trick or treat” will give you three as a gift (one time).
• If you wear the Jakob mask and the Jakob robe, you will receive a candy (once per resident).
• When residents are in their homes and you a Halloween costume you get a candy (can be repeated every five minutes for each resident).

How to get lollipops: If you give a candy to residents, then there is also the possibility of receiving a lollipop instead of an item. The chances reset each time you receive a lollipop:

Give Jakob sweets and lollipops: The prince will ask you to give him candy. If you have a candy with you, he will give you the following items:

Trick or Treating Residents: The animal friends rush at you with an exclamation mark and want sweets. If you give them a candy, you will receive a certain item or a lollipop depending on your progress. These are the rewards for each level:

You always only go up a level when you have received all the rewards and do not get duplicate items up to level 7. You can split the progress among all neighbors and don’t have to give the candies to just one resident to level up.

Get new emotions: If you don’t have the Halloween emotions “Scare” and “Shock” yet, you’ll get them again in 2022. If you give a candy to a resident or Jakob for the first time, you will get “Scare” or “Shock”.

Exclusive face paints by pranks: If you have a candy with you but decide not to give it away, your residents will play a prank on you as punishment. This will randomly change your skin and eye color. In addition, you will receive one of four exclusive face paints. You can only get these on Halloween and they are unique. Once you take them off, you won’t get them back after the event. To take them off, you can either select them from the mirror or from your clothing in the bag menu.
