At Call of Duty: Warzone there are allegations that Twitch streamer Nadia would cheat. Former top player Doug “Censor” Martin announced that he would release the truth about the streamer as part of his “cheat clear-up”. During the action, however, he drew the ire of the community.

This is the situation:

  • Many in the Call of Duty community believe Twitch streamer Nadia Amine cheats: she uses hacks and other tools. People are obsessed with the idea; Videos on the subject get millions of views.
  • Nadia herself says: She doesn’t cheat, just be the best player in CoD Warzone. Men would only accuse her of cheating because their fragile egos don’t allow them to accept that a woman is better than them.
  • Despite these cheat allegations, Nadia is still active and pursuing her career: unlike DrDisrespect, she is invited to Activision Blizzard events.

An ex-professional apparently wanted to take advantage of the fact that so many people are looking forward to someone finally bringing “the truth” to light about Nadia.

Ex-Pro Promises: Revealing ‘Truth About Nadia’ Builds Hype For Video

That was the announcement: Former CoD pro, Doug “Censor” Martin found great success in 2011 when he won the MLG National Championship. But that was 11 years ago: Censor is playing for an Academy team in 2022 and is a YouTuber.

However, he apparently still considers himself a giant crack in Call of Duty.

Censor has announced that it has obtained data proving that some high-level players have been cheating on Call of Duty: Vanguard. He said he will “hunt” down cheaters, but will turn all his attention to Nadia for now.

With many tweets he announced that he would publish a “truth video” about Nadia on Friday.

He repeatedly referred to the video in numerous tweets and videos.

Censor seemed to be intoxicating himself about what a giant guy he is and how important his revelation is for the “entire Warzone community”:

Instead of a revelation, there is a lot of hot air and a marriage proposal

This was the bizarre video: The 8-minute video “THE TRUTH ABOUT NADIA” was released on Saturday, 10/10, and it was a bizarre performance (via youtube):

  • Censor appeared as “Detective Doug” in a trench coat and sunglasses, on a jet ski and talking on the phone
  • Amid much fanfare, he said he’s noticed how obsessed people are with proving that Nadia is a cheater:

As someone who’s been in the pro business of Call-of-Duty as long and seen as much as I have, I took a closer look.

After a lot of straight lines and recorded clips, he finally says after 6:30 minutes:

I said I’m going to show you the truth about Nadia and somehow the internet for the past few days has made it sort of like I’m proving Nadia’s cheats and I have clear evidence that she’s cheating.

I want to get this straight very quickly: my buddy ran a program to catch Vanguard cheaters. I’ve said this publicly several times: I’m not interested in Nadia, I don’t need her. I don’t care about her, I’ll make an unbiased video. I don’t care about fame or money.

The video ended with a bizarre passage in which Censor drives to the Bermuda Triangle and Nadia proposes marriage.

How can you say “no” to that?

Why are you intentionally destroying your reputation

What are the reactions to the video? The reactions in the top comments are mostly negative. People seem to feel trolled, and it’s pretty bad at that.

The top comments say:

  • “That was a big disappointment. I’ll save you all the time: nothing will be revealed. I was hoping you would stand up for the community of all gamers.”
  • “Doug, you took it to heart that you’re just a joke in the scene. I’m really sad.”
  • “Too bad, as someone who plays one more CoD I was really hoping for Censor to be a trustworthy guy. But this is… the complete opposite. Why are you ruining your reputation for no reason? This is so embarrassing.”

Even internet warlord Keemstar switched from, “You have my full support – I also said she cheats and is only looking for fame. She’s a total jerk” to “Doug Censor is a jerk.”

CoD Modern Warfare 2: Trailer shows multiplayer and Warzone 2.0 – New third-person perspective is included

What’s the problem with the video? Censor has consistently tweeted that he hunts down cheaters and that he will “tell the truth about Nadia.” So it’s understandable that the two issues are thrown together.

But he wants them to be understood separately:

  • He hunts cheaters
  • He’s telling the truth about Nadia (that he doesn’t give a damn about her but still wants to marry her)

Even in the video itself, he gives the impression for 6 minutes that there is really a revelation coming, after all he is “Detective Doug – the mad snoop who can make phone calls in a trench coat”.

Ultimately, however, he has absolutely nothing to contribute to the topic and then blames “the internet” for strangely coming up with the idea that he would now expose Nadia’s cheating. How could they ever accept that? No, everyone was hoping for us to watch Censor propose to a total stranger.

Particularly absurd is the statement that he doesn’t care about fame or money – when he seems to care only about these 2 things.

It seems as if Censor is trying to somehow stay relevant after the end of the really big professional career and chose the “biggest possible game to hunt” without anything hiding behind it.

What about the marriage proposal? Nadia turned it down, saying she was so glad she was into women.

Cenor adds: His heart was broken again. Like when he left a model to devote his life to Call of Duty. phew

On Twitter, a user says that Censor has now made a clown to stay relevant. But he is still not in the CoD league.
