Pokémon GO: 10 Pokédex Entries That Made Me Smile

Pokémon GO: 10 Pokédex Entries That Made Me Smile

In Pokémon GO, your captured monsters are registered in the Pokédex, which should give you information about the individual Pokémon. But these entries are sometimes just for a smile. MeinMMO author Franzi Korittke took a look at them and shows you her favourites.

What are the entries? In Pokémon GO you can now catch numerous monsters. Anything you’ve already secured or at least been able to discover somewhere will be registered in your Pokédex.

There you will get an overview of which Pokémon you are still missing from which region. But that’s not all, because you can also learn more about the individual captured monsters at this point in your game.

The texts often contain interesting facts about the respective Pokémon, for example that the flame on Charmander’s tail indicates its emotional state. Sometimes these are just totally crazy and trigger a funny mental cinema. I have summarized below which 10 entries made me smile.

How did the ranking come about? The order of the following ranking refers to my personal rating. So I’ll show you the monsters in ascending order of how much they made me smile. The ranking thus works its way down to the Pokédex entries that I found the funniest and where I had the most mental turmoil.

10. Wobbuffet

Where exactly

If you think about it carefully, the Wobbuffet Pokédex entry is probably more questionable than funny, but I had to smile at first when I saw the idea of how several Wobbuffet stood in a circle, staring at each other for hours and no one wanted to give up for anything to eat. At least one cannot accuse them of not being consistent.

When two or more Wobbuffet meet, they try to push each other’s patience. You want to find out which Pokémon can go the longest without food. Coaches have to pay attention to that.

9. Delight

delightira

And Wonneira also shares a similar pitiful fate, which is also cute and funny at the same time. The little baby Pokémon has taken a liking to the stones, and it even risks moving further to do so.

His naïve manner reminds me of small children on a family trip who can’t make up their minds either, but just don’t want to go home without the perfect stone. I think that’s really cute and the thought of it puts a little smile on my face.

If it finds white, round stones, it puts them in its pouch. Sometimes it carries so many of them that it can no longer walk.

8. Floink

Floink

Floink is also a candidate who gets himself into trouble with his clumsy behavior and might put a smile on one or the other’s face.

This is how I imagine the little monster jumping around excitedly in front of a nut, aiming its flame at it and then letting out a short “Oops!” because the temperature was too high. So Floink should probably be a little more patient in the future. Maybe Wobbuffet can help him with that.

Floink loves to eat even roasted nuts. From time to time, however, she unintentionally chars out of sheer anticipation.

7. Pikachu

Pikachu

Pikachu can probably also report similar experiences. The electric Pokémon obviously sometimes misjudges its abilities and grills other things, such as berries, instead of nuts. Ash was also allowed to experience this again and again at the beginning of the anime and became a victim himself.

Whenever Pikachu encounters something new, it blasts an electric shock through it. If you find a charred berry, this Pokémon misjudged its electrical charge.

6. Azurill

azurill

On the other hand, a baby Pokémon that uses its abilities in some pretty cool ways is Azurill. It throws its tail like a lasso in order to then fly after it. The idea in my head of an Azurill being catapulted through the air tail first always makes me smile.

Azurill throws his tail out like a lasso and then flies after himself. In this way, an azurill managed to cover the record distance of 10 m.

5. Eneco

Eneco

The Pokémon from the 3rd generation probably also liked Eneco’s tail. Here the typical image from cartoons from my childhood opens up for me, in which a cat chases its tail. So this memory can just be funny.

Eneco is fascinated by things that move and chases after them. This Pokémon often chases its own tail, making it dizzy.

4. Alola Smallstone

Alola Smallstone

Alolan Smallstone, on the other hand, has a special method of settling its disputes: with butts. These remind me primarily of the notorious dwarf chess from the comedy “7 dwarfs – men alone in the forest”.

There the dwarfs play chess in their own way, in which they hit each other with a board. I imagine the same with Alola-Kleinstein.

Kleinstein settle disputes with headbutts. The iron sand on their heads attaches itself to the one that has more magnetic force.

3. Rameidon

Rameidon

Another top-heavy Pokemon is Rameidon. The monster is reminiscent of a dinosaur, which is known to have died out. According to Pokémon GO, one reason for this is not an asteroid, but his brain that is too small and thus his stupidity. But this theory just sounds so creepy that it’s funny again.

This primeval Pokémon, which specializes in headbutting, is said to have died out stupidly due to its small brain, according to one theory.

By the way: Rameidon is one of the best rock attackers in the game.

2. Sea Pug

sea pug

A Pokémon that is super cute and whose behavior also makes you smile is Sea Pug. The water and ice type monster shows its joy by clapping and thus organizes a real clapping concert with its friends.

No wonder my mind forms images of several sea pugs rolling towards each other, much like the trolls in Frozen, and finally sitting in a circle in front of their food, clapping.

Sea Pug can roll faster than it can run. When groups of this Pokémon eat together, they clap together to show their happiness. That’s why their meals are very noisy.

1. Seajong

seajong

From my point of view, the behavior of Seemops can only be topped by Seejong. The further development of Seemops loves to play with its pre-development in its very own way. The idea of it brightens my day and, like a waddling penguin, just keeps making me laugh.

Seejong has a habit of juggling whatever it sees for the first time on the tip of its nose. This Pokémon keeps itself entertained by sometimes balancing and rolling a sea pug on its nose.

However, not all monsters are in the game in Pokémon GO. For this reason, there will certainly be one or two other funny surprises in the texts of the Pokédex in the future.
