After the wave of drops at the end of September, some retailers are still hot for fresh PS5 supplies at the beginning of October. Where should you watch out?

Hamburg, Germany – September was generally a strong month for PS5 hunters, but the last week of the month saw some massive drops. And the chances are good that at the beginning of October things will continue with console supplies from Sony. We take a look at the current situation and show you which retailers you should pay attention to or stop by this weekend and the coming new week if you still want to dust off a PlayStation 5. Buy PS5: Replenishment situation in early October – Several retailers are still hot

Where was the last time you bought the PS5? In the week ending today, PS5 hunters had several top-class opportunities for the coveted Sony console. In addition to a big drop at MediaMarkt and Saturn, Amazon DE, among others, also sold the PlayStation 5 and was able to surprise with a gigantic sale – the “mother of all drops” (at least with regard to the last few months).

Also worth mentioning were drops at Spielegrotte, Euronics, Müller as well as Amazon UK and IT. Incidentally, the new FIFA 23 bundle was used almost everywhere (sometimes with the additional game Gran Turismo 7). There was also a single, local sales campaign at MediaMarkt in Wuppertal over the weekend. There, on Friday and also yesterday, Saturday, you could still secure the Playstation 5 with drive and Horizon Forbidden West (on disc) for €609.00 in advance.

Which retailers are currently hot? On the one hand, we are once again at the beginning of a new month – in general, almost all relevant dealers are now getting exciting again. However, the following PS5 providers are likely to be particularly hot at the moment:

• ComputerUniverse: Accidental sale of FIFA bundle two weeks ago, all orders cancelled. There is a high probability that something else will follow – maybe in the coming week (unfortunately nothing happened this week).
• GameStop: Rumor has it that the FIFA Bundle will be available locally later this week/early next week, just check with the local store.
• OTTO: Could be the last of the four largest PS5 providers to follow suit with the FIFA bundle in the coming week. It would actually be almost surprising if not.
• PlayStation Direct: Sony is unlikely to forget its in-house factory outlet when many other retailers are already selling the official FIFA bundle. An action in the new week would be quite conceivable.
• Amazon: In principle, the shipping giant gets exciting again and again week after week. It remains to be seen whether there will be a drop again right at the beginning of October in Germany or Great Britain. However, Amazon ES, for example, has not yet sold the new FIFA bundle and could now follow suit immediately. And from there you should be able to order the console and have it delivered to Germany without any problems.

In addition, some smaller and medium-sized retailers such as MyToys or Medimax could also drop again. These are long overdue and could now finally come into play again with the new FIFA bundle. And if you live in Wuppertal or come from the immediate vicinity, you can try your luck again on Tuesday at the local MediaMarkt branch.

There you could get the PS5 with drive and Horizon Forbidden West (on disc) for € 609.00 since Friday. According to reports, this should have been possible without any problems on Saturday evening. It is therefore quite conceivable that it could also work out next Tuesday (Monday is a holiday).

In short: there are more than enough potential replacement candidates at the beginning of October. So you should remain vigilant and careful if you want to grab another PS5.
