A new report has apparently revealed the length of the upcoming PlayStation game, God of War Ragnarok.

When the new reboot of God of War in 2018, it stood as the longest entry in the history of the popular action series. And while a number of fans liked this increased length and size of the game, it looks like the sequel will take even longer to fully complete.

According to Insider Gaming website, god of war ragnarok is shaping up to be a total of about 40 hours. This duration is said to be based on the time it takes to complete each task in the game, which includes side quests and other content.

The main story itself is said to be closer to 20 hours, of which approximately three hours of this part will be made up of cutscenes and other cinematics. This means Ragnarok side content alone should take about 20 hours to complete, which is much more expansive than what was seen in God of War.

Assuming this report is legitimate, it’s not that surprising. Most sequels tend to be “bigger and better” than its predecessors, and it seemed likely that God of War Ragnarok would be no different. Considering that this sequel will also allow players to travel to the nine realms of the Norse world, while God of War only allowed traversing through six of those locations, it seemed likely that Ragnarok would end up taking longer to finish.

God of War Ragnarok finally this November 9 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
