The new banner itself is basically unspectacular, but the note in the graphic (“Do not ignore”) indicates that EA is planning an announcement. The banter between the NfS Twitter channel and the Codemasters account is also striking. A user asks if the NfS account would like to confirm the announcement this week. The only answer is an eye emoticon. The Codemasters account answers followed by “Quit Need for Sp… oh”. Then there is the EA account to and asks: “Do you think they are ready?”. In any case, the Twitter game is a clear indication that the latest rumors have substance.

These state that the presentation of Need for Speed: “Unbound” – as the new title of the long-lived racing game series will probably be called – is imminent. There were also hints about the release date. EA itself confirmed some time ago that the release should definitely take place by March 2023 at the latest. According to unconfirmed rumors, racing game fans should be able to start this year, because Need for Speed: Unbound should be available in stores on December 2nd.

A trailer is slated for release this week that is approximately 90 seconds long and features a soundtrack by American rapper A$AP Rocky. There was also a supposed gameplay leak for the game some time ago, which revealed that the new NfS part would also come up with comic elements. The rumor mill also agreed that Need for Speed: Unbound will feature multiplayer-focused meetups and maps that are said to be “completely unique” to the NfS franchise.
