Pokémon Crimson fans show off Generation 9 pocket monsters in the style of the classics

The new editions will be available soon.

When it comes to the Pokémon franchise, feelings of nostalgia play a huge role for many of us. The older titles in the series bring back fond memories for quite a few fans. That’s why projects centered around these games are always worth checking out – Like this idea: A Reddit user grabbed two Crimson and Crimson Pokémon and showed how they would have looked in the Black and White Editions.

Animated pixel versions

It’s all about this: Ferkuli (English: Lechonk) and Wiglett are sent on a journey through time in the Reddit post of user R3dd1t_D4v1d. The fan shows what the pig and the Digda-like pocket monster would have looked like 12 years ago and 11 years ago, respectively. At that time, Black and White was the fifth generation of Pokémon to be launched in Europe on the Nintendo DS. This was already the case in Japan in 2010.

The pig monster can be seen in a charming pixelated look in an animated clip in which it faces the player character in battle. Even cooler is the animation for Wiglett, which you can admire in another Reddit post. The Pokémon wriggles out of the ground, then bounces back and forth excitedly. When asked by another community member, R3dd1t_D4v1d replies that more is planned.

Pokémon Crimson – New trailer introduces the three main paths of the story

Soon you can grab the two Pokémon in their “natural habitat”, speaks in the new games. Crimson and Crimson is coming to Switch on November 18th. The two editions will once again feature some exclusive Pokémon species.
