In October you can get new icons from the Zelda series.

As in September, you can once again get new icons for your profile with a Nintendo Switch Online account. Last month there were profile pictures from the NES era, now in October there are some from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

These are the new icons

The new symbols, with which you can make your Nintendo profile a little more chic, come in all 4 waves. These appear on a weekly basis and deliver new characters, backgrounds and frames each time. Wave 1 already started on October 3rd, so it runs until the 10th of this month and contains designs inspired by Champion Revali.

Here is an overview of the release date and the champions of the different waves:

  • Wave 1: October 3rd – 10th – Champion Revali
  • Wave 2: October 10th – 17th – Champion Mipha
  • Wave 3: October 17-24 – Champion Daruk
  • Wave 4: October 24-31 – Champion Urbosa

This is how you get the icons

First of all, you need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Next, in the main menu of your Nintendo Switch, select the red Online Services button at the bottom. If you don’t see the icons on the start screen, select Missions & Rewards.

There you can then select Breath of the Wild and choose your icon. But be careful, unfortunately they are not completely free, you have to spend 10 platinum points per icon. There are also the backgrounds and frames, each worth 5 platinum points.

Maybe the new cosmetic items will sweeten your waiting time for the next part of the series, which is still a long time coming. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom should on May 12, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch appear.
