The Witcher 4: Trilogy within six years of the release of part 4

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

CD Projekt has announced that The Witcher 4 will be the start of a new trilogy over the next six years.

After the next-gen upgrade to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, The Witcher 4 is a new trilogy to be implemented within the next six years. The new The Witcher carries the project name: Project Sirius, whereby this game is developed by a small team of 60 people at The Molasses Flood.

The developers promise an innovative approach for all The Witcher fans and those who want to become one. Everything here sounds more like a smaller spin-off for the time being, although CD Projekt Red employees could of course join the development after the completion of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty City and other projects.

The next The Witcher game is called Project Polaris and is being developed by CD Projekt Red with a team of over 150 people. Internally called Project Canis Mojaris, The Witcher 6 is being developed by an external team that also includes former The Witcher developers. All three Witcher games are story-driven, single-player, open-world games.

Project Sirius or The Witcher 4 is in the pre-production phase. Only 60 developers work here so far, as over 350 are still working on the completion of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty for the year 2023.

Project Polaris will launch, with the other two Witcher games appearing within six years. Thus, with the release of Project Solaris, a new The Witcher game could be released every two years.
