Need for Speed Unbound: Leak images show the racing game’s unusual look
EA will officially unveil the next installment in the Need for Speed series later this week. And it will almost certainly be called “Unbound”, this name has been going through the rumor mill again and again, at least in the last few weeks and months.
And as is often the case before major announcements are made, the first pictures of the title have already leaked out for the upcoming racing game and have already been distributed on the Internet, including on Twitter.

The images provide a first look at the look of the game, which has also appeared in various rumors. It’s a fusion of realistic and comic/anime elements, something the series hasn’t seen before. The characters also seem to have a comic look and, similar to the last part Need for Speed Heat, Unbound also uses bright neon elements.
Please keep in mind: The images aren’t officially released or verified by EA, so it could theoretically be a well-crafted fake. However, due to the approaching announcement and the lettering in the pictures, we consider this to be rather unlikely.
Lots of rumours, little clarity (yet).
The official unveiling of Need for Speed 2002 will then show whether other rumors about the title from the past few months are correct. According to a leak from early 2022, the setting should be Chicago and the surrounding area, for example. It is also speculated that the new NfS will no longer appear for the Last Gen consoles, but only for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and PC.
