Overwatch 2 runs at over 500 FPS on an RTX 4090 with 1440p resolution

Overwatch 2 launched yesterday and to celebrate the game’s release, NVIDIA has revealed details about performance with the new GeForce RTX 4000 series graphics cards.

The top-of-the-line RTX 4090 runs Overwatch 2 at over 500 FPS at 1440p resolution, while the 16GB RTX 4080 tops out at 368 FPS and the 12GB RTX 4080 nearly hits 300 FPS. That’s about 50 frames per second more than the previous generation RTX 3080.

Blizzard’s John Lafleur, Technical Director of Overwatch 2, said in a statement:

Overwatch 2 absolutely shines on the highest ‘epic’ settings with a GeForce RTX 4080, and even in a climactic team fight, gameplay has never been more fluid or responsive.
