WoW: But first my cubs – save Har’koa’s cubs in WoW Classic
The gigantic spirit beast Har’koa awaits you at the altar of Har’koa in the snowy Zul’Drak of WoW WotLK Classic, which is part of an extensive quest series. As the eighth step in the quest line, which begins with a Drakkari Strange Mojo drop, Har’koa gives you the WoW quest “But first my boys”, which poses problems for one or the other Northrend hero.
For one thing, you use Har’koa’s whiskers to revive cursed Har’koa spawn that you’ve killed, and if you haven’t read the quest text carefully, you’re missing out. Second, the cursed offspring of Har’koa themselves can be the problem. Below are a few pointers to Whiskers and their offspring in our quick tip on But First My Cubs.
Complete “But first my boys” in WoW
As mentioned above, you get Har’koa’s Whisker from the spirit beast. You must use this to revive Cursed Har’koa Spawn that you have killed. The kittens hang around the altar. And that’s where the wild cat lies buried: You can only use the whisker on offspring that you have tagged yourself. If someone else tags the cat, it’s vinegar with quest progress for you.
In addition, there are currently a relatively large number of Northrend heroes in Zul’Drak and near the temple, so there is sometimes a shortage of available descendants. Also look around behind the temple, away from the hustle and bustle, because that’s where the cats also spawn and with luck there aren’t that many other heroes cavorting there.
skinners and raiders
As with other quests, “But First My Cubs” cannot be completed while in a raid – you will not even receive quest progress if you whisk a spawn that you kill. Use the /script leaveparty() command if you are unsure whether you are still in an incorrectly resolved raid group.
And finally, a tip for skinners: First kill the mob, then use the whiskers and then only skin ^^ Speaking of skinning: It is often the case that opponents disappear and respawn faster when they have been completely looted and then by a skinner been skinned.
