For Ryzen 7000: Noctua with sealing cover and thermal paste as AM5 edition (2)

Matching AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 CPUs, the air cooling experts from Noctua present a specially made sealing cover for the AM5 socket to prevent thermal paste from escaping, as well as newly released thermal paste in a bundle with the plastic frame.

According to the product description, the new “NA-TPG1” sealing panel (TPG for “Thermal Paste Guard”) is intended to offer a solution that is as simple as it is effective, to prevent thermal paste from depositing in the lateral recesses of the heat spreader of AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 processors.

According to this, the contact pressure of the cooler tends to push excess thermal paste outwards and the residue often collects in unwanted places on the AM5 CPUs, where the paste is difficult to remove. This is where the small plastic frame from Noctua comes into play and prevents the whole thing.

“There is no question that AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 processors offer fantastic performance, but we have found that thermal paste can accumulate in the side recesses of the heat spreader, which can only be removed with difficulty,” explained Noctua Managing Director Roland Mossig at the Announcement. “Our new sealing cover helps here: a simple but highly effective means of keeping your new Ryzen 7000 CPU clean,” says Mossig.

According to the press release, the NA-TPG1, made of heat-resistant polycarbonate, will be available in a separate set (NA-STPG1) with ten cleaning cloths from the NA-CW1 model and in new AM5 editions of Noctua’s well-known NT-H1 and NT-H2 thermal pastes. All three products are expected to be available from December.

These are the prices

The manufacturer has a recommended retail price of EUR 7.90 for the “NA-STPG1” set, EUR 9.90 for the “NT-H1 3.5g AM5 Edition” and EUR 13.90 for the “NT-H2 AM5 Edition” announced. The latter also offers three cleaning cloths in the scope of delivery. Amazon.de already has both the “NA-STPG1” set and the AM5 editions of “NT-H1” and “NT-H2”, but without market prices and availability. In the PCGH price comparison, the regular versions of the thermal pastes meanwhile listed between around 5 and 21 euros.
