EA’s new PC app is now available and will soon replace Origin

Electronic Arts’ Origin client on PC will soon be history and will soon be officially replaced by the new EA app.

After the open beta, said EA app is now available, the publisher describes it as his “fastest and lightest PC client yet”.

What will change with the EA App?

According to EA, the new app’s design is simpler and cleaner, with automatic game downloads and background updates.

You can also link your friends list to other platforms such as Steam, Xbox and PlayStation.

Local and cloud saves will be automatically transferred to the new client, and all Origin users will soon receive an official download invitation.

For Mac users, however, it stays with Origin for the time being, there is currently no new EA app.
