The Sims are happy too.

A week before the Free2Play launch of The Sims 4 base game, the game got another decent update. The most exciting innovations are already in the CAS (Create A Sim) mode, here you can get all the information about it.

Hi Emily!

A big innovation in the game is Emily. This originally comes from the mobile version of the Sims and is primarily intended to help beginners to get into the game better. She tells you tips and tricks in the CAS, and then in the game itself. Even as an experienced player, you might be able to learn a thing or two.

However, if you already know everything there is to know about The Sims, you can disable Emily and enjoy the other innovations without enjoying her contributions.

New optical and character highlights

The main focus of the update is the easier entry for newcomers, but above all in the CAS there are some new things to discover, also thanks to Emily. The update includes on the one hand Emily’s hair, top and glassesbut also send five new tattoos for your Sims. Three of these are inspired by the Plumbob that hovers over your Sims’ heads, and two are based on the popular Cow Plant.

In addition, there is also the new character Trait “Loyal” for your characters, encouraging them to be exactly like that in every way. This means that whether it’s a romantic, friendly, or professional relationship, a Sim with this trait is honest and values the trust placed in them.

What else does the update bring?

Especially on the console, the font and the interface could seem a bit too small for those of us who are short-sighted. Both on the Xbox and the Playstation you can now scale the user interface yourself according to your eyesight or distance to the screen. The corresponding option can be found under Game Options under Accessibility.

In line with this, the lessons have also been revised and improved again, another point that should enable a smooth start.

Here you can find more about The Sims 4:

Last but not least, there is also a small but fine embellishment for your little house, namely the plumbob fan. It comes in a few different colors and is available for 75 Simoleons in build mode.

Otherwise, of course, the update also contains a few of the usual fixes and improvements that will make your life in the game a little easier again.

The update is now available for all versions of the game, i.e. on Xbox, Playstation and PC and from the October 18, 2022 the base game is also available for free for everyone right there.

How do you like the update? Are you already an absolute pro in the Sims or soon to be newcomers?
