WoW: Dragonflight: Quests should make dragon riding more interesting

The animation of the roaring Dracthyrs in WoW Dragonflight looks fantastic - but the puny sound really can't keep up.

In the latest beta build of WoW: Dragonflight, the developers have made some adjustments to dragon riding. The most exciting of these is likely to be the implementation of quests that reward our participation in the various dragon races with lots of XP – and unlock more races.

Dragon riding is one of the big features we can look forward to in the upcoming WoW: Dragonflight expansion. To make sure this isn’t just another way of getting around, the developers put a lot of work into integrating dragon riding into the story and our actions on the Dragon Isles. Among other things, dragon races take place all over the island, in which we can either compete against time or against other players.

So far, this has been a small gimmick that has only been rewarded with a few successes. But the developers didn’t think that was enough, so they made some adjustments with the latest beta build. Now there are a lot of quests related to the dragon races in the game, which reward our heroes with plenty of experience points. Anyone who has successfully completed all “normal” races unlocks the advanced races, which are again accompanied by some quests for bonus XP.

This makes it interesting to do the various dragon races during the leveling process – even if our dragon hasn’t unlocked all the talents yet.
