Pokémon Go – 12 tips: This is how you clear up fat on the Lichtel Community Day – Guide
Let’s be honest: Since the Velursi Community Day in Pokémon Go in April 2022, there hasn’t been as much excitement about a Community Day as there is now in October 2022 for Lichtel. Why is that? First, Lichtel will be available as a Shiny for the first time in Pokémon Go. Second, Skelabra is still an important Pokemon in both PvE and PvP. Third, Lichtel doesn’t appear very often in the wild otherwise. And fourth: Community Day Bonuses and season of light such as light festival all meet on Saturday, October 15, 2022. And that means big XP and Candy bonuses await! In this guide we give you 12 valuable tips for preparing for the Lichtel Community Day and for the event itself!
Community Day: Preparation is everything!
Before the event, you want to complete the following tasks
- Clean up your Pokébox and make room, because if you want to have a lot of Lichtel or Shiny Lichtel, and then also want to hoard good skeletons, you can estimate that you will catch a lot of Lichtel even with the use of pineapple berries. The development from Lichtel to Skelabra costs you 125 Lichtel candies and Lichtel has rarely been found in the wild apart from events.
- Accumulate enough Pokeballs because if you want to catch a lot of Lichtel, you also need a lot of Pokéballs. If you want to use the three hours effectively, you will already burn between 200 and 300 Pokéballs. And remember: If you defeat Laternecto in the raid, then Lichtel will also spawn in the area around the arena until 10:00 p.m.!
- Pick up Pineapple Berries and Silver Pineapple Berries! If you still have field research or special research steps that give you pinap berries, then do them and pick up the berries to quadruple the amount of candy per captured Lichtel. For Community Day, a double candy bonus is active when you catch it, so with a pineapple berry you quadruple your candy yield per catch – and that is then doubled again because of the light festival. In theory, you get eight times the amount of candy. We don’t quite trust the roast yet, whether the bonuses can really be stacked that high, we have to be honest – there will probably be six times as much candy for hard-working trainers.
9 tips for absolute Lichtel success
During the event you will benefit from some more bonuses! Therefore, consider…
- … as mentioned, you should use Pinap Berries and Silver Pinap Berries when catching Pokémon so that you can benefit from the multiple Candy bonuses mentioned above. As always, don’t send Pokémon until AFTER the event and ideally after 10:00 p.m. if you don’t want to waste any time!
- … be sure to throw in a Lucky Egg, because thanks to the Light Festival and Community Day bonus, you’ll receive five times the amount of XP when catching Pokémon – and double that to ten times the value with a Lucky Egg. The same applies here: We don’t quite trust the roast just yet that the effects will stack like this. So please keep an eye on your XP yield per catch yourself.
- If you don’t want to run, but want to enjoy the effect of a lure module, then go to a play location with many PokéStops in close proximity to each other – every major city has one; in Nuremberg, for example, this is at the Ship of Fools, where Spitalgasse and Plobenhofstrasse meet.
- There is no big stardust bonus this time. But you can do two special exchanges between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., which – like any other exchange – only cost you 50 percent of the stardust.
- … and generally open your gifts, because thanks to the Season of Light you will receive more Stardust from the pretty packages.
- Trainers who are level 31 or higher are twice as likely to receive XL Candies when catching Pokémon, so don’t despise that.
- Smoke lasts for three hours, as does Lure Modules.
- From 5:00 p.m. and until 10:00 p.m spawns Laternecto in the raids. If Laternecto is defeated, more Lightels will appear at the arena with the same high chance of shining as before between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.! But remember: Laternecto cannot be fought with Remote Raid Pass.
- Evolve Skelabra only from 5pm and before 7pm. Why? Then you’ve fully enjoyed the CD light spawns, because you don’t want to check every light for its WP during the three hours of Community Day and thus waste precious time. After 5:00 p.m. and before 7:00 p.m. you can unhurriedly muck out and send the Lichtel and Shiny with low WP – this way you will get more candies. Skelabra learns the Poltergeist charge attack until 7:00 p.m. on Community Day.
