A GTA Online player shared a message for the player who trolled him online, showing a massive in-game compensation from Rockstar.

Like any very popular online game, GTA Online has its fair share of trolls and afflicted who enjoy interfering with other players’ games.

Fans usually just have to smile and bear it as they do their best to avoid the most troublesome and annoying players.

However, one target of a GTA Online afflicted was able to flaunt a bit of satisfaction after being afflicted after contacting Rockstar Support and receiving a large sum of in-game cash.

GTA Online trolling victim compensated by Rockstar

A mail of the user __Username_Not_Found in GTA Online subreddit he sent a message to the person who afflicted them and screwed up a sell mission they were trying to complete.

The caption read “To the random troll that blew up my loadout during the sell mission and immediately left the game (was on my team),” followed by an email from Rockstar Support.

The email said that although “by game design, crates may be destroyed by other players”, they offered a “one time accommodation” for the incident and added a staggering GTA$1,000,000 to his account.

The post garnered over 6,700 upvotes in less than 24 hours, as tons of gamers reacted in surprise that Rockstar Support was compensating them for the incident.

“Did they destroy their payload and contact Rockstar Support and it really worked?” Reddit user oqni asked, to which the original poster replied, “I assumed they wouldn’t mind.”

While other players were skeptical that the email guaranteed a response from Rockstar Support, the original poster further elaborated on the situation in the responses.

“I allowed 2 random players to join my SecuroServ and started a cargo sell mission, one of them threw a sticky bomb until it exploded. Then immediately get out of the game,” they said.

They go on to explain that the incident happened a few nights ago, which explains how Rockstar Support was able to contact them. “Spent all night charging, it was worth a little over $1 million. I get that it’s part of the game, but I’m glad Rockstar has lifted my mood about it.”

While some may question the need for in-game compensation for a painful incident like this, it’s always nice to see developers go the extra mile to help players after bad in-game experiences.
