Funko and developer 10:10 Games announced months ago that the two were working together to make an AAA video game, and this week the name for that project was revealed.

Is named “Funko Fusion” and has been described as “a combined world of playable characters, locations and more” featuring several NBCUniversal properties. We still don’t know when it will be released, but Funko and 10:10 Games say it will be out “soon” for consoles and PC.

The first announcement about the Funko game came from San Diego Comic-Con over the summer with the trailer shown below released at the time. Not much was said about the game at the time though, but what we got this week shares a bit more about what to expect from the game.

“‘Funko Fusion’ presents a celebration of multiple NBCUniversal franchises, in addition to other properties, showcasing iconic moments and merging fandoms,” said a preview of the new Funko Fusion game. “Characters can be played cooperatively with up to four players online or in single player mode. Built with Unreal Engine 5, the game is rated T for Teen and is now in active development for next-gen consoles and PC..

Some concept art for the game was shared alongside this week’s announcement that featured several different Funko figures as silhouettes to hide who (or what) they really were. Funko’s own character Freddy will at least be a part of the game for sure, based on the trailer shown above and the artwork that still features him.

Funko Fusion doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will release “soon” for console and PC platforms.
