Fallout 4 will have free graphics upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

Fallout 4 is Bethesda's most successful game according to exec-gAMERSrd

Falllout 4 will get a free current-gen update next year, Bethesda announced.

Coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC in 2023, the update will include a number of new features to improve performance.

According to a blog post on the official Fallout website, the free update will include “performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution gaming, bug fixes, and even additional Creation Club content”.

Fallout 4 was enhanced for the latest generation Xbox One X, allowing the game to run at 4K and 30 frames per second. Xbox Series X/S can run the game with an ‘FPS boost’ setting enabled, but while this increases the frame rate to 60fps, it also drops the resolution to 1080p.

The next update is expected to allow gaming with resolution and higher FPS, rather than one or the other. A Fallout 76 25th Anniversary bundle was also announced, including a Vault Boy portrait, a Shooting Target suite, and the Lincloln Stick Action Repeater Skin.
