The Callisto Protocol has exclusive PS5 features, GamersRD

Developer Striking Distance Studios has announced that the Japanese release of The Callisto Protocol is cancelled.

According to a roughly translated tweet made by the game’s Japanese Twitter account, the studio is discontinuing its work on the Japanese release of The Callisto Protocol due to the fact that the game has failed to pass the requirements to be board certified. Japanese classification called CERO.

The studio has also stated that getting the ZERO certification would require making changes to game content that the studio believes would not reflect the experience players would expect. Japanese players who have pre-ordered the game will receive a refund.

Callisto Protocol is already gold since last week, which means that the game is on track for its release on December 2. The upcoming horror game will feature violent gameplay as well as other exciting features such as a performance mode that enables a stable 60fps frame rate.

Callisto Protocol is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
