Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: These important multiplayer features are missing at launch

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has also been officially available since Friday, after the campaign was available for pre-order around a week earlier.

With the launch of the multiplayer mode, however, it has become apparent that Modern Warfare 2 is missing some multiplayer features that the fans are missing.

What’s missing from Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer

This applies to leaderboards and statistics, among other things, but the hardcore modes are not yet available either.

  • Leaderboards
  • statistics
  • barracks
  • challenges
  • medals
  • Ability to inspect weapons at the Armorer
  • The ability to save custom blueprints
  • Camo Unlock in-game notifications
  • Import of settings does not work
  • The ability to disable crossplay (on PC and Xbox)
  • XP token countdown
  • Customizable crosshair
  • Split screen mode

It was similar with Battlefield 2042, where this fact was not well received either and led to DICE gradually adding missing features.

And at least with the hardcore modes aka Tier 1, we already know that they will come in the future. As for the rest, we’ll have to wait and see how Infinity Ward reacts.
