The showrunner of House of the Dragon, HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series, has given a surprising hint about the start of the next season in an interview. Fans should be patient.
The HBO series House of the Dragon concluded last week with the season one finale. However, the Game of Thrones spin-off will continue as the series was a huge success for HBO. However, fans will have to be patient – the start of the second season will not take place immediately next year. Casey Bloys, the chief content officer at HBO Max, has now given a surprising hint in an interview as to when fans can flicker the next season across their screens.

House of the Dragon: 2023 will be nothing
In an interview with vulture tells Bloys: “Expected [die Staffel] not in 2023, I think more like sometime in 2024. We’re just beginning to put the plan in place and like last time, there’s a lot of unknowns. We don’t want to be secretive, but you don’t want to say it’s coming that day and then you have to postpone it.” As a further guideline, keep in mind that the first season took a while to film – it took 10 months to do, like that Hollywood reporters reported.
House of the Dragon: At least three more seasons
Fans can look forward to at least three more seasons of House of the Dragon. Showrunner Ryan Condal has his Deal with HBO recently renewed. According to Condal, the further story of the series should now tell the story of the “Dance of the Dragons”. But there shouldn’t be any more time jumps. There were several of these in the first season of House of the Dragon.
