The 2022 League of Legends World Championship is underway, with the Semifinals in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s life or death for the remaining three teams; a single lost set will be the end of the road.

  • While GenG dominated nationally in the summer of 2022, DRX had a massive resurgence during Worlds 2022. They took down EDG, the defending world champions, and are looking to continue their miraculous run.
  • This may be DRX Deft’s last chance to play Worlds before his career ends. The stakes have never been higher for this legendary ADC player
  • Faker has a chance to take his fourth world title almost 10 years after winning in 2013. The GOAT has a chance to add another trophy to his cabinet if he can beat the winner of this series.

Worlds 2022 is the biggest event on the League of Legends calendar, and it’s already underway. 20 teams entered and only 3 remain. DRX, T1 and GenG have proven to be the best teams in the world.

Many familiar faces will be attempting to lift League of Legends’ most coveted trophy, the Summoner’s Cup, which has received a facelift for 2022.

Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok’s T1 obviously heads the act, but DRX looks like a dark horse to win Worlds by eliminating EDG, the defending world champions, in the quarterfinals. GenG swept the 2022 LCK Summer Split, but haven’t had the same dominant presence at Worlds 2022.
