Kratos gets angry (once again).

Last week we reported to you that leaks about God of War Ragnarök were circulating on the internet. Most of these come from test versions and already spread some spoilers. Unfortunately, the leaks don’t stop there, because a Target, a supermarket chain in the USA, sold the game almost two weeks before the release. Of course, social media is full of spoilers, screenshots and clips. Game director Cory Barlog and his development team are more than disappointed.

“Completely fucking stupid”

In a tweet, Barlog now commented on the leaks and vented his displeasure.

He writes how disappointed he is about all this and that he is very sorry that everyone who wants to experience the game completely unbiased now has to dodge the spoilers like this. He also says, representing the entire development team, that they hadn’t imagined it that way.

All of this is completely understandable when you consider how much time, work and heart and soul the developers put into an AAA game like Ragnarök. In this case only for a few leakers to completely destroy the game and twists for some players.

Statement from the entire development team

Developer studio Santa Monica Studios released on twitter A few days ago, there was also a statement on the situation, aimed directly at those who already have the game at home.

(…)
We ask that you be lenient with the many fans who don’t accidentally want to see clips, gameplay or spoilers related to the story and avoid sharing them further.
(…)
For those who don’t want to risk seeing anything before the game officially releases, we strongly encourage you to mute all game-related tags and hashtags until release day.

In the end, despite everything, they thank you for the support and assure you that it is worth going to the official Released on November 9th waiting. Then God of War Ragnarök will be released for the PS4 and the PS5.
