World of Warcraft Dragonflight: With the pre-patch, the dragons are slowly spreading their wings

The first of two pre-patches for World of Warcraft Dragonflight is here, bringing new content to accompany you on your journey to the Dragon Isles.

The dragons prepare to take off

A new talent system awaits all players. There are new talent trees and specializations that are easier to create, save and configure. You can change your talents anywhere and for free – even without a rest area or tome. There is one exception, and that is mid-combat. Unlearned talents are also better marked.

The UI and HUD have also been redesigned to be more accessible to more players and more customizable. You have the choice between a classic design and a modern look.

From now on it is possible for every race to play as a mage, priest or rogue. This also applies to players who do not own the next expansion. New achievements and some other improvements are also part of the patch. You can find the exact ones here notes read.


With the fourth season officially over, Blizzard is also taking a look into the future. On November 16th comes the next batch of content preparing for the Dragonflight release on November 29th, 2022.

With the second wave of content, you can combine Callers of the Dracthyr, get a new starting area with the Forbidden Island, face the new Uldaman dungeon, and survive the new Primal Storm events.
