Call of Duty: Next: No Advanced Warfare 2 in development according to rumor

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

No Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2 is supposed to be in the works at Sledgehammer Games.

With Modern Warfare II, the latest offspring of the Call of Duty shooter series is just a few days old.

But the various developer studios have long been working on the next part, which could then break the recently broken mark of 800 million dollars in sales in the first three wears.

We recently reported that a sequel to Advanced Warfare could be in the works.

But that is apparently not the case. As Tom Henderson reports via Insider Gaming, citing his sources, no Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2 is said to be in development.

The sources did not want to reveal what they are working on at Sledgehammer. The project is still in an early phase and could still change.

However, it could not appear until 2026, because the change for new games in the series from once to every two years should continue.
