“Starting next week”, says the current press release from AVM in relation to the start of sales of the Fritz Repeater 3000 AX. The new top model among the WiFi amplifiers from Berlin was presented in September at the IFA 2022 and will cost 189 euros (RRP). The 3000 AX can already be ordered in the first shops. Delivery is specified from November 8th. The vague indication of the week should actually refer to Monday, November 7th.
The Fritz Repeater 3000 AX is the direct successor to the Fritz Repeater 3000 (test), which celebrated its market launch over three years ago and was also able to score “very good” in our test. In keeping with the name, the new repeater can use the new WLAN AX standard or WiFi 6.
As AVM According to the current press release, the Fritz Repeater 3000 AX is a tri-band repeater that, in addition to WiFi 6, also supports the intelligent mesh function of current Fritzbox models. With three radio units consisting of a total of eight antennas, transmission speeds of up to 4,200 Mbit/s should be possible, and two gigabit connections are also installed in the repeater. Of course, all the options of current Fritz OS versions can also be used.
You can currently find the AVM Fritz Repeater in the online shops of Saturn and Media Markt, among others. The price is at the RRP level of 189 euros. Shipping costs are not added.
You can save – if you haven’t already used it – if you register for the newsletter of the two shops for the first time. This is usually rewarded with a EUR 10 voucher that you can redeem for purchases of EUR 100 or more. There is further potential for savings if you opt for the competitor repeater from Devolo, which has slightly faster specs.
